Do you have a store location?

No, we are an internet/phone mail order retailer only. We do not have a physical pick-up location. We do have a mailing location at: Lighters Direct LLC 859 J Place, Suite B, Plano, TX 75074


Do you sell wholesale?

No, we are a retail store only.


Do you offer bulk/quantity discounts?

Yes, please email your request to info@lightersdirect.com. Discounts rates are applied depending on the quantity ordered.


Do you repair lighters?

No, all repair work is done by the appropriate manufacturer. Contact info for each can be found below under the Repair section.


Do you buy lighters?

No, we recommend eBay for the resale of lighters.


Do you ship outside of the US?

Yes, we do ship worldwide. Standard International shipping starts at $13.95 USD.


What payment options do you offer?

You can purchase online using any major credit card, PayPal, Google Checkout, money order or check. If paying by check, please allow two weeks to ship for bank clearance. If you are more comfortable ordering over the phone, feel free to give us a call at 800-768-0047.


How do I return a defective item?

Please email us at info@lightersdirect.com with your order information. With Warranty repairs please refer to the manufacturer warranty instructions and they will handle all repairs. If you need our assistance in dealing with the manufacturer please do not hesitate to contact us.


I cannot find the item I am looking to buy

Please email us at info@lightersdirect.com with your request. We maintain a large network of buyers, sellers, stores and collectors. If we do not stock something, we might be able to find it for you.

Extended Holiday Return Policy

Purchase any item from our store between now and Christmas, and your order is eligible for our extended holiday return policy. If you need to return the item(s) to us for any reason, you have until January 30, 2015. We can accept all non-engraved products returned as long as they are in new/unused condition. You will receive the full purchase price in return (minus shipping).


 

Shipping

When will my order ship?

Most orders ship within 1-2 business days of purchase. Engraving sometimes adds a few days (2-5) to processing time. Please contact us for an exact timeframe; we try and accommodate all requests.


How can I check the status of my order?

You can track your order here. Alternately you can call or e-mail us for an update. We will automatically send you a confirmation email when your package ships.


What shipping services do you offer?

For US shipments we offer USPS Priority (2-3 days), USPS Express (1-2 days) and UPS (3 business day, 2 business day, overnight and ground services). We ship USPS Priority to all Alaska, Hawaii & Military APO addresses.
For international destinations, we offer USPS International First Class, Priority & Express Services.


What is your return policy?

All non-engraved items are eligible for our 30 day money-back guarantee. Item must be in new condition with all original packaging. You will receive the order amount minus any shipping charges you paid.

How can I track my package?

Once your order ships, you will receive an e-mail confirmation from us. This will include a delivery confirmation or tracking number. Please note that USPS delivery confirmation numbers for USPS Priority shipments do not update often. It will most likely only scan when delivered.
You can also check on the status of your order here.


Is a signature required to deliver the package?

We require signatures only in the delivery of high-value shipments. In most cases, the delivery person will leave your package in your regular drop-off location. If you would like to add/remove a signature confirmation for delivery, please let us know when the order is being placed. There is no extra charge for this.


Are lighters shipped with fuel?

No, per US shipping regulations, all lighters must be shipped empty. You will need to purchase butane gas separately. You can purchase butane gas here or locally at a smoke/cigar shop.


What are your international shipping options and delivery times?

We offer delivery services outside the US via the following methods: USPS International Post: approximate 2-4 week delivery Worldwide. Starts at $13.95 DHL Worldwide: approximate 3-7 day delivery. Starts at $65 FedEx International Priority: approximate 4-6 day delivery. Starts at $90 Please note that because different countries have varying policies and customs regulations regarding international packages, delivery can take up to 2 months depending on the country.


What are your shipping fees?

We are now offering free shipping on all US orders via USPS First Class over $50. All orders are eligible for USPS & UPS services starting at $5.

International shipping options are available via USPS First Class Mail, DHL & FedEx International starting at $13.95.


Do you ship to US Military APO/FPO?

Yes, we will ship to any US destination or territory. This includes all military addresses including but not limited to: AA, AE, AP, APO, FPO & DPO. Orders to these zip codes will automatically ship via USPS Priority Mail.


About Free Shipping

We now offer free shipping on all orders over $50 to the US. All orders are eligible for flat rate shipping at $5; expedited services via USPS Priority, UPS Ground, UPS 2 Day and UPS Overnight are available for a fee. International orders (non-US) are not eligible for free shipping.


Do I have to pay customs/duty for an international shipment?

This depends on the customs rules and regulations in your country. You are responsible for all entry and customs fees/tariffs for your package. Please check with your local customs office for exact fees.


 

Engraving

How long does engraving take?

Engraving usually adds between 2-5 business days to the processing time of your order. We can usually expedite your order (and sometimes ship the same or next day) if you let us know ahead of time.


Is there a minimum amount I need to order?

No, there are no engraving minimums. You can order one if you like. We do not charge artwork or setup fees.


How can I add an image/artwork to a lighter?

Images can be uploaded to certain lighters here. If you would like your image on another type of lighter, please contact us. Each image is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.


Can you send me a sample of what my engraving will look like?

We can provide a high resolution digital samples of your engraving at no charge. Please e-mail us us all specifics. We will get back to you within one business day.


What color will my lighter be engraved in?

This depends on the type of lighter you select. We use a variety of methods to engrave dependent on the finish of the lighter selected. Most items are engraved into the case, leaving a result that is the same color as the case, but in a different shade/tone. In other cases, it is different. If you would like to know specifically, please contact us for details.


Can you engrave in a monogram style (first, last, middle)?

Yes, when entering engraving text, enter exactly as you would like to see it appear. Please enter monogram style in engraving notes if you would like the middle letter larger.


The lighter I would like to purchase does not have an engraving prompt. Can you engrave it?

We sometimes can engrave items that are not marked in our catalog. Please contact us with your request, and we will try to accommodate you.


 

Lighter Info

What kind of fuel do I need for my lighter?

All lighters we sell excluding Zippo pocket lighters require butane gas to operate. Zippo pocket lighters and Hand Warmers are the only items we sell that require lighter fluid.


What brand/type butane gas do you recommend?

We recommend triple-refined butane gas or better. The brand does not matter. Putting 3x refined gas in your lighter ensures top performance and prevents clogging. We recommend the following brands: Vector, Xikar, Lava, Lotus, Lucienne, Visol, Prometheus, S.T. Dupont. We do not recommend Zippo or Ronson butane gas.

Are your lighters authentic?

Yes, everything we sell is guaranteed authentic. We deal directly with the manufacturer with most brands that we sell. In a few cases, for older, harder-to-find collectibles, we deal directly with verified private dealers and collectors. All applicable warranty information is noted on the product page. We have a spotless record dealing with all major lighter manufacturers in our seven years of business. Please contact us for manufacturer contact information to verify origins/sources.
